Turn the cable tightener, s Show more. The rotor seems to be too small for my headset. I have an size steerer tube and headset, made by Stolen BMX Co, but the rotor just doesn't fit on at all. This stopped the whole break system form working. I don't think I can get any thing back either. Waste of time and money.

I am not sure what spacer your talking about, but I just put on a gyro2. Here is a pic. Here we go, tried to get a good pic of what I meant. Everything else is taught sp but I have this gap. Also that cone thingy is from a first gen gyro not from the gyro2.
FWIW, I was out of this for a while and I don't remember everything, but that is not what the lever barrel adjuster replacements looked like for 1st gen Gyros. Maybe that cone thing came with a Gyro 2, but I've never opened a Gyro 2 package to know for sure. Originally for 1st Gen Gyros, when your levers came with real barrel adjusters, you were supposed to use them.
For levers without barrel adjusters, like a Dia Compe Tech 6, Odyssey supplied another adjuster within the 1st Gen Gyro kit to link that type of lever to a Gyro cable. He sells them. There have been a variety of different bars supplied over the years, and they vary in rise or height. There is every possibility you just have the wrong length top cable for your application. You need to change that cone spacer to a barrel adjuster. That's what I have, and what was supplied with all seperately purchased Gyro kits or bikes supplied with Gyros and non-barrel-adjusting levers IIRC.
I may just go to the LBS and pick up different upper gyro cables cause there is just way to much slack, about 2 inches in total. What do you guys think?
I can barspin and I can almost whip, but not quite. I'm thinking gyro because I do oppo bars rather than normal bars, but my frame doesn't have gyro tabs. If I decide to run a gyro I live like mins away from Matt Beringer and hopefully he could drill some for me. Also, what brakes would you recommend? Which best fits my riding style?
I honestly made this post when i first joined vital. I thought i was going to get a gyro but i didn't because the single cable is easier to maintain. Sue me. I'm not brake-illiterate.. Let's go and ride brakeless today, and then put them on afterwars" and not have a problem.
