Sims 2 pc windows vista

Alright, I've spent an exhausting hour trying to solve this. I recently re-bought The Sims 2 my favorite. I have Windows Vista, and I know that I have played this game without consequence on the same computer that I have it installed on now. However, my computer no longer likes the Sims 2, and it will not let me play for very long before it crashes. If I replace 10 with 9, will that mess up my computer? If not, how will I go about doing this operation?

Any help is appreciated. I just want to play! Go to Solution. There is a ton of stuff you can use in this game to make your dream home, new scenarios, jobs, neighborhoods and there is just a ton of stuff to keep your Sims and the others that are around busy.

The visuals of the game are much improved from the first game. The only negative that I really have about the visuals is that sometimes the children and grandchildren can just look the same. I do feel they could have done a bit more to make offspring look like they are related, but not at the expense of just all looking exactly the same.

The soundtrack is what you would expect from a game in this series. I would not say that The Sims 2 has the greatest soundtrack I have ever listened too.

However, they have made it very easy to add your own music to the game if you want so that is always an option. The overall sound effects of the game are great and when a Sim talks, freaks out, gets embarrassed, or anything like that it always makes me smile. As this is a game that I played a great deal during my college years with a girl that would become my wife. The Sims 2 is a game that has a lot of nostalgia for me, I fired the game up recently to see if it held up and I had a lot of fun.

Yes, the newer games in the series have greatly expanded upon what is on offer here. However, this is still a really fun time and well worth taking a look at. How do you go about creating a sequel to the biggest-selling PC game franchise of all time? A game that has single-handedly bucked the demographic of PC gaming, embracing the casual player while alienating the hardcore? It's a tricky proposition, but there's little sign of panic at the Maxis office, half an hour outside San Francisco.

With the walls adorned with artwork from Sim titles down the years employees beaver away in their individual cubes, emerging only to chow down on a quality selection of food and beverages. It's almost like a slightly less surreal version of the game. Sim Sims anyone? Top Sim is of course Will Wright, the man who started it all.

Among other things, this has earned him an office with a view, outside of which sits an impressively comprehensive shrine to Elvis Presley. In this game Sims need to survive on different islands. The first island is Shipwreck Island. After exploring this island an airplane island is discovered by the Sims.

This second island is more interesting and bigger than the first. The radio parts are find by the player while exploring the island and these radio parts are necessary afterward in the game to complete the goals.

Once the player builds a canoe and finds the second beach on Airplane Island then they can reach third island which is Volcano Island. The player will find out the remains of llama people on Third Island with a choice to return to the civilization on this island. You may also like to download The Sims 3 Deluxe. Each character has an overarching life goal, whether that is a career, a family or whatever you choose it to be. It takes the rather arbitrary goal system of old and gives players a motivation to actually go after them. Rather than simply cause havoc and toy with their little test subjects. The Sims 2 Ultimate Edition takes everything that galvanised the gaming landscape in the first title and simply adds more.

Which is all anyone who loves the series can ask for The additions add nuance and flair as well as comedy and realism to the gameplay. The art style has also had a facelift too, pushing the franchise forward to bigger things. For sandbox titles, simply giving players the tools to play their way is the ideal approach.

The Sims 2 Ultimate Edition realises this and gives players all they need to have fun. Goals are included, aspirations of characters exist but ultimately, the player is in charge and that's exactly what makes this series special.
